ROLE

Senior Executive & Personal Assistant to a Managing Principal

LOCATION

New York, NY

On-site, five days per week

COMPENSATION

$200,000 – $300,000 base + discretionary annual bonus

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a Senior Executive & Personal Assistant to support a Managing Principal of a leading real estate private credit and investment firm. The Managing Principal leads the firm's Investor Relations function and balances a demanding professional role with an active family life.

This is a high-touch, predominantly personal role — roughly 80–90% personal and lifestyle management, with the remainder supporting business and Investor Relations coordination. The Managing Principal moves quickly, holds a high bar, and values a right hand who executes flawlessly and independently. This role is for someone who takes ownership, gets things done, and makes life run more smoothly.

The ideal person is direct, unflappable, and genuinely proactive: someone who anticipates what the Managing Principal and his family will need before they ask, surfaces problems early — including the ones no one else has thought of yet — and consistently presents solutions rather than questions. They can manage up gracefully, pushing when it matters without creating friction. Discretion, sound judgment, and a no-task-too-small mindset are essential.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Personal & Family Logistics

  • Manage complex domestic and international travel for the Managing Principal and his family — coordinating business trips he takes solo alongside family travel that follows or runs separately — with a sharp eye for optimizing loyalty and points programs

  • Coordinate day-to-day logistics for three school-age children, including scheduling, appointments, activities, and household needs

  • Handle healthcare administration for the family — scheduling medical appointments, managing claims, and reconciling billing

  • Partner closely with the Managing Principal's spouse on a standing weekly agenda

  • Oversee household vendors, purchases, and personal errands with discretion

  • Support upcoming milestone planning, including personal events and college preparation

Calendar, Communication & Organization

  • Serve as a single point of contact and gateway for the Managing Principal, managing a complex, fast-moving calendar across personal and professional priorities and multiple time zones

  • Anticipate conflicts, filter and triage requests, and optimize how the Managing Principal's time is allocated with professionalism and polish

  • Maintain systems for tracking commitments, projects, and documents so nothing slips

Business & Investor Relations Support

  • Provide targeted support to the Managing Principal's Investor Relations responsibilities — scheduling investor and internal meetings, coordinating business travel, and preparing materials as needed

  • Serve as a liaison between the Managing Principal and internal teams and external counterparties, building strong relationships while protecting his priorities

WHAT YOU BRING

The ideal candidate is a mature professional who maintains the highest levels of discretion, exercises exceptional judgment, and delivers sophisticated support with a calm, solutions-first approach.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years as an Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant, or blended EA/PA supporting a Founder, Partner, Principal, or high-net-worth individual, with a heavy personal and lifestyle-management component

  • Demonstrated experience supporting a principal with school-age children — comfortable operating in a family context

  • A track record of proactively surfacing obstacles and solving problems the principal and family haven't yet thought of

  • Strong travel and logistics expertise, including loyalty/points optimization and travel hacking (Amex points experience a plus)

  • Meticulous attention to detail, exceptional discretion, integrity, and judgment in handling highly sensitive personal, family, and financial information

  • Excellent written and verbal communication with a polished, professional style

  • Tech-savvy, resourceful, and adaptable to evolving systems and processes

  • Able to work on-site in New York five days per week

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
